Frequently Asked Questions – FAQs

What is DO: Organizational Development?

We view Organizational Development (OD) as the carefully planned process of improving organizations and achieving the well-being of their members, taking into account the interests of both. It always aims to optimize the organization's efficiency and effectiveness through systemic interventions in its processes and culture.

Does DO need to be applied to the entire organization?

Not necessarily. Our client can be an entire company, a branch of the public sector, a social sector organization, or a small part of a larger organization.

Why implement a DO process?

To achieve organizational objectives

  • Because only if your organization employs good management practices will it be successful.
  • Because only if you treat your employees the way you would like them to treat your customers will you achieve the customer service ethic you need to maintain and improve your market.
  • Because only by treating your employees well will you avoid excessive turnover, retain the best employees, and achieve sustainable operational improvements.

To make your organization a good place to work

  • Because most of our lives take place in the workplace.

Change is a constant, and OD is the best tool to help people accept and promote change.

Why hire a consultant?

Consulting exists because an external perspective can help you resolve issues that concern you but that your daily routine prevents you from stopping to consider. These issues affect the optimal functioning of your organization and can be revealed by an outside perspective. Consultants also provide a wealth of best practices that, when adopted by the organization, result in concrete benefits for it.

Is consulting expensive?

There's always a misconception that consulting is expensive and therefore only affordable for large companies. In reality, this isn't true, and the way to prove it is to consider the cost-benefit ratio of the process. Adequate consulting is always cheaper than the losses caused by the problems to be solved.

What is External Quality, Training and Human Resources Management?

The global trend among organizations is to focus their primary efforts on core business areas, leaving those support areas that require continuous innovation and expertise in the hands of experts.

It involves facilitating the conversion of these areas into strategic partners of your organization through management that adapts to their needs and capitalizes on the strengths of your people.

It allows the organization to save costs and “get rid of a problem.”

Are there any experiences with outsourcing HR management?

Yes. And very successful. Especially in small and medium-sized businesses, where it's extremely costly to maintain an internal Human Resources Management system that transforms people into a competitive advantage for the organization. Outsourcing enables the company to access the most advanced knowledge in Human Resources management to achieve productivity improvements at a reasonable cost.

Is the implementation of ISO standards always bureaucratic?

No. Although many quality systems based on ISO standards are bureaucratic, this problem is not attributable to the standard itself, but rather to the inadequate interpretation and subsequent implementation of the regulatory requirements. Our approach to Quality Standards enables implementation aimed at improving organizational results with minimal paperwork. Learn more about our approach to quality.

What is TPM (Total Performance Management) (formerly Total Productive Maintenance)

It is a Comprehensive Management System that focuses on people education and seeks to eliminate organizational losses, starting with equipment. A conscious implementation of the program allows for a 50% reduction in conversion costs. Developed by the Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance, we employ a team of internationally qualified consultants for its implementation.

What is PSP® Lossless Production?

It is a methodology developed by a team of Brazilian experts that adapts the best of the Organizational Development and the TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) to create a unique management system with a high impact on results.

What is the Alignment of People and Organizational Processes to Achieve Objectives?

It is a methodology that, based on a rethinking of the organization's strategic objectives and subsequent process reengineering, allows the entire company to align toward the defined objectives.
